This chapter aims to better understand and use the nation's oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes so future generations keep benefiting from them, and it lets the Administrator and the Foundation make agreements to carry that out.
(a) Purposes: This chapter exists to better understand and use the oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes of the United States, and to make sure current and future generations benefit from the ecological, economic, social, recreational, security, and other services these resources provide.
(b) Agreements: The Administrator* and the Foundation* may make whatever agreements are necessary to carry out this chapter's purposes.
The purposes of this chapter are to better understand and utilize the oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes of the United States, and ensure present and future generations will benefit from the full range of ecological, economic, social, and recreational opportunities, security, and services these resources are capable of providing.
The Administrator* and the Foundation* may enter into such agreements as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
