18 U.S.C. § 3666 — Bribe moneys

After a case ends, money received or offered as evidence of a bribe must be deposited with the court and handled under the court’s order, subject to title 28, section 2042.
Money received or offered as evidence in a United States court, or before one of its officers, that an official was paid or received as a bribe must, after the case, proceeding, or investigation finally ends, be deposited in the court’s registry. The court must dispose of it by order, subject to title 28, section 2042.
Moneys received or tendered in evidence in any United States Court, or before any officer thereof, which have been paid to or received by any official as a bribe, shall, after the final disposition of the case, proceeding or investigation, be deposited in the registry of the court to be disposed of in accordance with the order of the court, to be subject, however, to the provisions of section 2042 of Title 28.
