19 U.S.C. § 4209 — Application of certain provisions

This section tells how certain provisions apply to trade agreements made under section 4202. It treats those agreements and related proclamations or executive orders as specified earlier agreements for that purpose.
To apply sections 2135, 2136, and 2137 of this title: (1) a trade agreement under section 4202 is treated, as appropriate, as an agreement under section 2111 or 2112; and (2) a proclamation or Executive order issued under such an agreement is treated as one issued under a trade agreement under section 2112.
For purposes of applying sections 2135, 2136, and 2137 of this title—
any trade agreement entered into under section 4202 of this title shall be treated as an agreement entered into under section 2111 or 2112 of this title, as appropriate; and
any proclamation or Executive order issued pursuant to a trade agreement entered into under section 4202 of this title shall be treated as a proclamation or Executive order issued pursuant to a trade agreement entered into under section 2112 of this title.
