The Architect of the Capitol must reimburse Capitol Police overtime caused by construction projects, using construction-project money. The rule applies from fiscal year 2013 onward.
(a) Overtime. The Architect must transfer money made available for construction projects during a fiscal year to the appropriate United States Capitol Police appropriation accounts to reimburse overtime incurred because of those projects.
(b) Effective date. This section applies to fiscal year 2013 and every later fiscal year.
The Architect of the Capitol shall transfer amounts made available for construction projects during a fiscal year to the applicable appropriations accounts of the United States Capitol Police in order to reimburse the Capitol Police for overtime costs incurred in connection with such projects.
This section shall apply with respect to fiscal year 2013 and each succeeding fiscal year.
