This section addresses Establishment; officer appointments. It states the requirements, authorities, procedures, and limits contained in the section.
There must be a Capitol police. There must be a captain of the Capitol police and that other members with that rates of compensation, respectively, as may be appropriated for by Congress from year to year. The Capitol Police must be headed by a Chief who must be appointed by the Capitol Police Board and must serve at the pleasure of the Board.
There shall be a Capitol police.
