This section addresses restriction on payment of dual compensation by secretary of senate. It sets the rules and duties stated in the section.
Unless another law specifically authorizes it, money appropriated and paid out by the Secretary of the Senate may not pay a person for holding one position during any period when that person is being paid for holding another position whose pay is also paid out by the Secretary.
Unless otherwise specifically authorized by law, no part of any appropriation disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate shall be available for payment of compensation to any person holding any position, for any period for which such person received compensation for holding any other position, the compensation for which is disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate.
