21 U.S.C. § 213 — Fraudulent representations to evade or defeat restrictions

This section is a single, undivided rule. It applies to any person, firm, or corporation whose permanent allegiance is due to the United States, when they are seeking to procure — in the consular districts of the United States in China — any substance whose sale this chapter regulates. Such a person, firm, or corporation may not make any fraudulent representations for the purpose of evading or defeating the restrictions this chapter imposes. The section does not itself define what counts as a "fraudulent representation," beyond describing its purpose: evading or defeating the chapter's restrictions.
