21 U.S.C. § 213Fraudulent representations to evade or defeat restrictions

This law bans fraud that dodges import restrictions in China. People or companies loyal to the U.S. cannot make false statements to get around this chapter's rules. This applies specifically to regulated substances in U.S. consular districts in China.

This section is a single, undivided rule. It applies to any person, firm, or corporation whose permanent allegiance is due to the United States, when they are seeking to procure — in the consular districts of the United States in China — any substance whose sale this chapter regulates. Such a person, firm, or corporation may not make any fraudulent representations for the purpose of evading or defeating the restrictions this chapter imposes. The section does not itself define what counts as a "fraudulent representation," beyond describing its purpose: evading or defeating the chapter's restrictions.
