If a provision of this chapter is invalid, the rest of the chapter and its application in other situations are not affected.
If any provision of this chapter or the application of any provision to any circumstances or people must be held invalid, the validity of the remainder of this chapter and the applicability of such provision to other circumstances or people must not be affected thereby.
