The President must direct U.S. representatives at international financial institutions to watch employee pay. Their goal is to keep salaries and benefits comparable to similar jobs. The comparison is to U.S. private business and government jobs.
This section is one undivided provision. The President must direct the United States Executive Directors of these international financial institutions* to take all appropriate action needed to keep the institutions' employee salaries and benefits at levels comparable to the salaries and benefits paid to employees in comparable positions at American private businesses and in United States government service.
The President shall direct the United States Executive Directors of such international financial institutions* to take all appropriate actions to keep the salaries and benefits of the employees of such institutions to levels comparable to salaries and benefits of employees of private business and the United States Government in comparable positions.
