This section applies the drug-trafficker assistance restrictions and related regulations under the Foreign Assistance Act to assistance under this chapter.
Assistance under this chapter is subject to the same rules that apply to assistance under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 and the Arms Export Control Act under section 487 of the Foreign Assistance Act, concerning the prohibition on assistance to drug traffickers. The regulations issued under that section also apply.
Assistance provided under this chapter shall be subject to the same provisions as are applicable to assistance under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 [22 U.S.C. 2151 et seq.] and the Arms Export Control Act [22 U.S.C. 2751 et seq.] under section 487 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (relating to the prohibition on assistance to drug traffickers; 22 U.S.C. 2291f), and the applicable regulations issued under that section.
