22 U.S.C. § 8514b — Imposition of sanctions with respect to persons who engage in censorship or other related activities against citizens of Iran

(a) In general. The President must impose the sanctions from section 8514(c) on each person on the list required by (b).

(b) List. (1) Within 90 days after August 10, 2012, the President must send Congress a list of people the President finds have, since June 12, 2009, engaged in censorship or related activity against Iran that (A) blocks, limits, or punishes Iranians for exercising free speech or free assembly, or (B) limits access to print or broadcast media — including helping the Iranian government jam or block an international broadcast signal. (2) Updates. The President must send an updated list (A) every time an updated list is due under section 8514(b)(2)(A), and (B) whenever new information comes in. (3) Form and public availability. (A) The list must be unclassified, though it may include a classified annex. (B) The Treasury and State^* Departments must post the unclassified part publicly on their websites.
