22 U.S.C. § 8573 — Report on Iranian petroleum and petroleum products exports

(a) In general. Within 120 days after April 24, 2024, and every year after that until the section 8572(i) certification described in subsection (d), the Administrator of the Energy Information Administration must send the appropriate congressional committees a report on Iran's growing petroleum exports, including: (1) an analysis of Iran's petroleum exports and sales, covering (A) Iran's yearly petroleum export and sale revenue since 2018; (B) the same revenue specifically from sales to China since 2018; (C) the barrels of petroleum and crude oil exported per year since 2018; (D) the barrels exported to China per year since 2018; (E) the barrels exported to countries other than China per year since 2018; (F) the average price per barrel exported per year since 2018; and (G) the average price per barrel exported to China per year since 2018; (2) an analysis of how Iran labels its exported petroleum products; (3) a description of the companies involved in exporting and selling Iranian petroleum; (4) a description of the ships involved; and (5) a description of the ports involved. (b) Form. The report must be unclassified, though it may include a classified annex. (c) Publication. The unclassified part of the report must be posted on a public Energy Information Administration website. (d) Termination. The requirement to submit these reports ends on the date the President makes the certification described in section 8572(i) of this title — the certification that Iran has stopped supporting terrorism and dismantled its weapons programs.
