24 U.S.C. § 168b — Computation of maximum amount available from Federal sources

This section limits how much federal money may go toward inpatient and outpatient services provided through Saint Elizabeths Hospital. Several other laws authorize federal funding sources for this care: 24 U.S.C. §§ 191, 196, 211, 212, 222, 253, and 324; 31 U.S.C. § 1535; and 42 U.S.C. §§ 249 and 251. The amount charged to, and available from, those federal sources cannot exceed the estimated total cost of the services. That estimate must be computed using only the proportionate amount of the direct federal subsidy appropriated under this heading.
