Since May 9, 1938, Congress can appropriate tribal funds to cover travel and other expenses — including supplies and equipment — for members of tribal councils, business committees, or other tribal organizations, when they're doing tribal business.
This section allows tribal funds to be appropriated for tribal officials' expenses.
On and after May 9, 1938, tribal funds are available for Congress to appropriate for the traveling and other expenses — including supplies and equipment — of members of tribal councils, business committees, or other tribal organizations, when those members are engaged in the tribe's business.
