The Secretary of the Interior can keep money the public pays for goods and services the Bureau of Indian Affairs provides. That money must go into the same budget account that paid for those goods and services in the first place.
This section is a single, undivided provision.
The Secretary* of the Interior has the authority to keep — rather than send back to the general Treasury — money collected from the public as payment for goods and services the Bureau of Indian Affairs provides. This collected money must be credited to the specific appropriation account that covered the cost of providing those goods and services.
The Secretary* of the Interior is authorized to retain collections from the public in payment for goods and services provided by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Such collections shall be credited to the appropriation account against which obligations were incurred in providing such goods and services.
