30 U.S.C. § 14 — Acquisition of land; cooperation with other agencies

This section is a single, undivided provision. This section gives the Secretary of the Interior power to carry out sections 13 to 16 of this title. Acting through the U.S. Bureau of Mines, the Secretary can acquire land and any interest in land. The Secretary can also accept donations of property — real or personal — made to the United States, and can use volunteer or uncompensated help at the laboratory covered by these sections. Beyond that, the Secretary must cooperate with other federal departments and agencies, with states and state agencies and institutions, with counties and municipalities, and with businesses, organizations, corporations, associations, universities, scientific societies, and individuals — on whatever terms and conditions the Secretary decides.
