Army National Guard training must match Army training standards. Air National Guard training must match Air Force standards. States, Puerto Rico, D.C., Guam, and the Virgin Islands run this training under federal rules.
(a) The Army National Guard's training must match how the Army trains. The Air National Guard's training must match how the Air Force trains.
(b) The states, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the Virgin Islands run National Guard training, but they must follow the rules set out in this title.
The discipline, including training, of the Army National Guard shall conform to that of the Army. The discipline, including training, of the Air National Guard shall conform to that of the Air Force.
The training of the National Guard shall be conducted by the several States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the Virgin Islands in conformity with this title.
