33 U.S.C. § 1314a — Wastewater technology clearinghouse

(a) In general. (1) For each program in paragraph (2), the EPA Administrator must add information about cost-effective and alternative wastewater recycling and treatment technologies, including onsite and decentralized systems. The Administrator must also give local governments and nonprofit organizations seeking Federal wastewater-technology funds information about how cost-effective those alternatives are. (2) The programs are technical-assistance programs for wastewater management, including (A) nonpoint-source-management programs under section 1329 and (B) the sewer-sludge-disposal permit program under section 1345.

(b) Report to Congress. No later than 1 year after October 23, 2018, and at least every 3 years after that, the Administrator must report to Congress on: (1) the kind and amount of information provided under subsection (a); (2) the States and regions that used alternative wastewater treatment and recycling technologies the most; and (3) steps the Administrator took to help States deploy those technologies, including onsite and decentralized systems.
