33 U.S.C. § 1414c — Prohibition on disposal of sewage sludge at landfills on Staten Island

No person may dispose of sewage sludge at a landfill on Staten Island, New York. A violation generally has no penalty under the Act, but an injunction may still be sought or granted.
(a) In general. No person may dispose of sewage sludge at a landfill located on Staten Island, New York.
(b) Exclusion from penalties. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), a person who violates this section is not subject to a penalty under the Act. (2) That rule does not prevent an action for, or the granting of, an injunction under section 1415 for the violation.
(c) “Sewage sludge” defined. In this section, “sewage sludge” has the meaning given in section 1414b.
No person shall dispose of sewage sludge at any landfill located on Staten Island, New York.
Subject to paragraph (2), a person who violates this section shall not be subject to any penalty under this Act.
Paragraph (1) shall not prohibit the bringing of an action for, or the granting of, an injunction under section 1415 of this title with respect to a violation of this section.
For purposes of this section, the term “sewage sludge” has the meaning such term has in section 1414b of this title.
