This section allows the Secretary of the Department where the Coast Guard operates to issue rules for navigation on United States inland waters. The Secretary may also issue technical annexes consistent as far as possible with the corresponding International Regulations annexes.
The Secretary of the Department in which the Coast Guard operates may issue inland-navigation regulations for all vessels on the inland waters of the United States. The Secretary may also issue technical annexes that are as consistent as possible with the corresponding annexes to the International Regulations.
The Secretary of the Department in which the Coast Guard is operating may issue inland navigation regulations applicable to all vessels upon the inland waters of the United States and technical annexes that are as consistent as possible with the respective annexes to the International Regulations.
