This section lists what a sex offender must provide for the registry, and what the jurisdiction itself must add. The offender must also follow the Attorney General's timing and format rules.

(a) Provided by the offender. The sex offender must give the following to the appropriate official, for inclusion in the registry: (1) the offender's name, including any alias; (2) the offender's Social Security number; (3) the address of each residence where the offender resides or will reside; (4) the name and address of any place where the offender is or will be an employee; (5) the name and address of any place where the offender is or will be a student; (6) the license plate number and description of any vehicle the offender owns or drives; (7) information about any planned international travel — anticipated departure, arrival, and return dates and places, air carrier and flight numbers, destination country and contact information there, the purpose of travel, and any other travel details the Attorney General requires; and (8) any other information the Attorney General requires.

(b) Provided by the jurisdiction. The jurisdiction where the offender registers must make sure the registry also includes: (1) a physical description of the offender; (2) the text of the law defining the criminal offense the offender is registered for; (3) the offender's criminal history — arrest and conviction dates, parole/probation/supervised release status, registration status, and any outstanding arrest warrants; (4) a current photograph; (5) fingerprints and palm prints; (6) a DNA sample; (7) a photocopy of a valid driver's license or ID card issued by a jurisdiction; and (8) any other information the Attorney General requires.

(c) Time and manner. The offender must provide and update all of this information — including the travel information in subsection (a)(7) — following whatever timing and format rules the Attorney General sets.
