34 U.S.C. § 40727 — Kirk Bloodsworth Post-Conviction DNA Testing Grant Program

(a) In general The Attorney General must set up the Kirk Bloodsworth Post-Conviction DNA Testing Grant Program. It awards grants to states to help pay the costs of DNA testing done after someone has already been convicted. (b) Authorization of appropriations Congress authorized $10,000,000 for each fiscal year from 2017 through 2021 to carry out this section. (c) State defined For this section, "State" means any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
