Military Order of the World Wars is federally chartered. Its charter expires if it violates its governing documents, this chapter, or applicable District of Columbia corporation law.
(a) Federal Charter.—Military Order of the World Wars is a nonprofit corporation incorporated in the District of Columbia. In this chapter, it is called the “corporation”. It is federally chartered. (b) Expiration of Charter.—The charter expires if the corporation fails to comply with any provision of—(1) its bylaws or articles of incorporation; (2) this chapter; or (3) District of Columbia laws that apply to corporations like this corporation.
Military Order of the World Wars (in this chapter, the “corporation”), a nonprofit corporation incorporated in the District of Columbia, is a federally chartered corporation.
The charter granted by this chapter expires if the corporation fails to comply with any provision of—
its bylaws or articles of incorporation;
this chapter; or
the laws of the District of Columbia that apply to corporations such as the corporation recognized under this chapter.
