The National Film Preservation Foundation is a federally chartered charitable nonprofit corporation, not a United States Government agency or establishment. Unless otherwise provided, it exists permanently.
(a) Federal Charter.—The National Film Preservation Foundation, called the “corporation” in this chapter, is a federally chartered corporation. (b) Nature of Corporation.—The corporation is charitable and nonprofit. It is not an agency or establishment of the United States Government. (c) Perpetual Existence.—Unless otherwise provided, the corporation exists permanently.
