This section lists the corporation's purposes, drawn from its articles of incorporation. They include supporting ex-prisoners of war and their families, and preserving historical records.
The purposes of the corporation are as provided in the articles of incorporation and include—
encouraging fraternity for the common good;
fostering patriotism and loyalty;
assisting widows and orphans of deceased ex-prisoners of war;
assisting ex-prisoners of war who have been injured or disabled as a result of their service;
maintaining allegiance to the United States;
preserving and defending the United States from all enemies; and
maintaining historical records.
