This section defines "eligible institution" for this subchapter. It covers nonprofit schools, hospitals, and other public or nonprofit health-training institutions connected to the Department.
This section is one undivided provision that defines a single term. For this subchapter, "eligible institution" means any nonprofit educational facility, or any other public or nonprofit institution, that trains or educates allied health or other health personnel and is affiliated with the Department* for running or guiding education and training programs for health manpower. The law lists examples: universities, colleges, junior colleges, community colleges, schools of allied health professions, state* and local education systems, hospitals, and other nonprofit health manpower institutions.
For the purpose of this subchapter, the term “eligible institution” means any nonprofit educational facility or other public or nonprofit institution, including universities, colleges, junior colleges, community colleges, schools of allied health professions, State* and local systems of education, hospitals, and other nonprofit health manpower institutions for the training or education of allied health or other health personnel affiliated with the Department* for the conduct of or the providing of guidance for education and training programs for health manpower.
