submitted 24 years ago by Pub. L. 107-217 to r/title-40-PUBLIC-BUILDINGS-PROPERTY-AND-WORKS · 101 words · no verdicts yet
This chapter defines "executive agency" and "motor vehicle" for federal fleet rules. An executive agency here must run at least 300 vehicles, and the Tennessee Valley Authority is excluded. A motor vehicle is a self-propelled or towed vehicle, but not military or special-purpose vehicles the Administrator exempts.
In this chapter, the following definitions apply:
The term “executive agency”—
means an executive agency (as that term is defined in section 105 of title 5) that operates at least 300 motor vehicles; but
does not include the Tennessee Valley Authority.
The term “motor vehicle” means—
a vehicle self-propelled or drawn by mechanical power; but not
a vehicle designed or used for military field training, combat, or tactical purposes, or any other special purpose vehicle exempted from the requirements of this chapter by the Administrator of General Services.
