42 U.S.C. § 17333 — United States trade missions to encourage private sector trade and investment

(a) Authorized assistance. The Commerce Secretary^* must direct the International Trade Administration to expand or create missions to and from the United States to encourage private trade and investment in clean and efficient energy technologies by (1) organizing missions to foreign countries and matching United States companies with foreign-market opportunities, and (2) creating reverse missions where Commerce arranges meetings between foreign private and public organizations and United States companies to showcase technologies in use or development that could be exported. (b) Report. The Secretary must report annually to the appropriate congressional committees^* on implementation for fiscal years 2008 through 2012. (c) Appropriations. Necessary sums are authorized for each of those fiscal years.
