Following section 9303 of title 15, the NIST Director must support sustainable chemistry work. This means partnering with universities, industry, and nonprofits. The goal is cleaner, safer, more affordable alternatives to traditional chemicals.
Following section 9303 of title 15, the Director* must carry out activities supporting sustainable chemistry, including coordinating and partnering with academia, industry, nonprofit organizations, and other entities. These activities support developing clean, safe, and economic alternatives, technologies, and methods to replace traditional chemical products and processes.
In accordance with section 9303 of title 15, the Director* shall carry out activities in support of sustainable chemistry, including coordinating and partnering with academia, industry, nonprofit organizations, and other entities in activities to support clean, safe, and economic alternatives, technologies, and methodologies to traditional chemical products and processes.
