42 U.S.C. § 287d–2 — Biennial report

(a) In general. On research on women's health, the Office's Director must, by February 1, 1994 and every two years after that, prepare a report that: (1) describes and evaluates the progress made over the past two fiscal years in research and treatment that NIH conducted or supported; (2) describes and analyzes the professional status of women physicians and scientists at NIH's institutes, including identifying problems and barriers to advancement; (3) summarizes and analyzes what the institutes' agencies (and the Office itself) spent over the past two fiscal years; and (4) recommends legislative and administrative steps the Office's Director thinks are appropriate. (b) Inclusion in NIH's biennial report. The Office's Director must submit each report to NIH's Director, for inclusion in the report NIH submits to the President and Congress under section 283.
