42 U.S.C. § 300mm–32 — Followup monitoring and treatment of certified-eligible WTC survivors for WTC-related health conditions

(a) In general: Except as limited by subsection (b), sections 300mm–21 and 300mm–22 — the rules for identifying responders and treating their conditions — apply the same way to followup monitoring and treatment for certified-eligible WTC survivors as they do for enrolled WTC responders. (b) List of WTC-related health conditions for survivors: (1) Aerodigestive disorders — interstitial lung diseases; chronic respiratory disorder from fumes or vapors; asthma; reactive airways dysfunction syndrome (RADS); WTC-worsened chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); chronic cough syndrome; upper airway hyperreactivity; chronic rhinosinusitis; chronic nasopharyngitis; chronic laryngitis; gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD); and sleep apnea made worse by any of these. (2) Mental health conditions — PTSD, major depressive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, unspecified anxiety disorder, unspecified depression, acute stress disorder, dysthymic disorder, adjustment disorder, and substance abuse. (3) Additional conditions — any cancer or other condition added to the responder list in section 300mm–22(a)(3) under that section's add-a-condition process also applies here to survivors.
