42 U.S.C. § 300mm–64 — Pentagon/Shanksville Fund

(a) In general. This section creates the World Trade Center Health Program Fund for Certain WTC Responders at the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, called the "Pentagon/Shanksville Fund," made up of the money described in subsection (b). (b) Amount. Out of general Treasury money not already committed elsewhere, Congress appropriated $232,000,000 for fiscal year 2024 to put into the Pentagon/Shanksville Fund. That money stays available through fiscal year 2033. (c) Uses of funds. (1) In general. This money is automatically available, without further appropriation and without regard to the spending limit in section 300mm–61(c), for the WTC Program Administrator to carry out section 300mm–22 for WTC responders who are enrolled based on the eligibility rules in subclause (III) or (IV) of section 300mm–21(a)(2)(C)(i) — that is, responders connected to the Pentagon or Shanksville sites. (2) Limitation on other funding. Despite sections 300mm–41(a), 300mm–61(b)(1), 300mm–62(c), and 300mm–63(c), and any other provision in this subchapter, from fiscal year 2024 through fiscal year 2033, no money from this subchapter other than what's appropriated under subsection (b) may be used for that purpose. (d) Remaining amounts. Any money still unused in the Pentagon/Shanksville Fund on September 30, 2033, goes back into the Treasury as ordinary miscellaneous income.
