The Administrator must implement a technically credible flood-mapping program after Technical Mapping Advisory Council review. The Administrator must certify implementation to Congress and provide the Council’s review report.
After the Technical Mapping Advisory Council reviews it, the Administrator* must implement a National Flood Insurance Program* mapping program that produces technically credible flood-hazard data wherever Flood Insurance Rate Maps are prepared or updated. The Administrator must certify in writing to Congress when implementation occurs and give Congress the Council’s review report.
The Administrator* shall implement a flood mapping program for the National Flood Insurance Program*, only after review by the Technical Mapping Advisory Council, that, when applied, results in technically credible flood hazard data in all areas where Flood Insurance Rate Maps are prepared or updated, shall certify in writing to the Congress when such a program has been implemented, and shall provide to the Congress the Technical Mapping Advisory Council review report.
