A requester does not have to pay a review or processing fee for a flood-map change request based on a federally or State-funded habitat restoration project. The listed projects include dam removal, culvert work, and fish passage.
Despite other law, a requester is exempt from a review or processing fee for a Flood Insurance Rate Map change request based on a habitat restoration project* funded wholly or partly by Federal or State* money, including dam removal, culvert redesign or installation, or fish-passage installation.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a requester shall be exempt from submitting a review or processing fee for a request for a flood insurance rate map change based on a habitat restoration project* that is funded in whole or in part with Federal or State* funds, including dam removal, culvert redesign or installation, or the installation of fish passage.
