The Archivist may create and preserve historical audio and visual records of the United States Government and its activities. The Archivist may also prepare, reproduce, exhibit, and release them for nonprofit educational purposes.
The Archivist may make and preserve audio and visual records, including films, still photographs, and sound recordings, in analog, digital, or any other form, that concern and illustrate the historical development of the United States Government and its activities. The Archivist may arrange for the preparation, editing, titling, scoring, processing, duplication, reproduction, exhibition, and release of films, photographs, and sound recordings in the Archivist’s custody for nonprofit educational purposes.
The Archivist may make and preserve audio and visual records, including motion-picture films, still photographs, and sound recordings, in analog, digital, or any other form, pertaining to and illustrative of the historical development of the United States Government and its activities, and provide for preparing, editing, titling, scoring, processing, duplicating, reproducing, exhibiting, and releasing for non-profit educational purposes, motion-picture films, still photographs, and sound recordings in the Archivist’s custody.
