One board checks paper delivered to the Government Publishing Office under contract or purchase. A second board checks bindery materials other than paper. A third board inspects presses and machinery to decide if they should be condemned.
A paper examining board checks paper delivered under contract, by purchase, or otherwise, to the Government Publishing Office, and writes a report on it. This board has three members: the Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of printing, and a person picked by the Joint Committee on Printing.
A bindery materials board checks all bindery materials other than paper for the same purpose, and writes a report. This board has the Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of binding, and a person picked by the Joint Committee on Printing.
A condemnation board decides the condition of presses and other machinery and materials used at the Government Publishing Office, to figure out whether they should be condemned. It acts when the Director of the Government Publishing Office calls on it. This board has the Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of printing, and a person picked by the Joint Committee on Printing.
The Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of printing, and a person designated by the Joint Committee on Printing, shall constitute a board to examine and report in writing on paper delivered under contract, or by purchase or otherwise, at the Government Publishing Office.
The Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of binding, and a person designated by the Joint Committee on Printing shall constitute a board to examine and report in writing on material, except paper, for the use of the bindery.
The Deputy Director of the Government Publishing Office, the superintendent of printing, and a person designated by the Joint Committee on Printing shall constitute a board of condemnation, who, upon the call of the Director of the Government Publishing Office, shall determine the condition of presses and other machinery and material used in the Government Publishing Office, with a view to condemnation.
