The Secretary of Transportation must regularly talk with the Secretary of Labor. The goal is to make sure all applicable laws about safe working conditions for railroad employees are properly enforced. Together, these consultations aim to keep the railroad industry both safe and productive for its workers.
The Secretary of Transportation shall consult with the Secretary of Labor on a regular basis to ensure that all applicable laws affecting safe working conditions for railroad employees are appropriately enforced to ensure a safe and productive working environment for the railroad industry.
