This section makes contract terms about vision coverage and benefits override conflicting State or local laws and regulations.
The terms of any contract that relate to the nature, provision, or extent of coverage or benefits (including payments for benefits) must supersede and preempt any State* or local law, or any regulation issued under it, which relates to vision benefits, insurance, plans, or contracts.
