Reports required by sections 3171 and 3172 must be sent promptly after determinations under this subchapter. This section identifies the House, Senate, intelligence, and Judiciary committees that must receive them for particular subjects.
Reports to Congress under sections 3171 and 3172 must be submitted promptly after determinations are made under this subchapter. They must go to the House Committee on International Relations and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. If a determination concerns intelligence* sources or methods, the reports must also go to the congressional intelligence committees*. If it concerns an ongoing criminal investigation, they must also go to the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary.
Reports to Congress pursuant to sections 3171 and 3172 of this title shall be submitted promptly upon determinations under this subchapter. Such reports shall be submitted to the Committee on International Relations of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate. With respect to determinations relating to intelligence* sources and methods, reports shall also be submitted to the congressional intelligence committees*. With respect to determinations relating to ongoing criminal investigations, reports shall also be submitted to the Committees on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
