To carry out section 491, the Secretary of the Air Force may survey and acquire land, related rights, and other interests, including temporary use. The Secretary may improve the land whether the government owns it, leases it, or holds it under another temporary arrangement.
To carry out section 491, the Secretary of the Air Force may survey and acquire land, rights connected to land, and other interests in land, including temporary use. The Secretary may acquire them by donation, purchase, exchange of government-owned land, or another method. The Secretary may place permanent or temporary improvements on the land whether the government owns it outright, leases it, or holds it under another temporary arrangement.
In furtherance of section 491 of this title, the Secretary of the Air Force is authorized to make surveys and to acquire lands and rights pertaining thereto or other interests therein, including the temporary use thereof, by donation, purchase, exchange of Government-owned lands, or otherwise, and to place permanent and temporary improvements thereon whether such lands are held in fee or under lease, or under other temporary tenure.
