This law recognizes that America's parks face growing pressure from society. It requires the Secretary to keep improving how well the Park Service manages, protects, explains, and studies park resources.
This section recognizes that society is putting more and more pressure on America's unique natural and cultural resources in the National Park System*. Because of that, the Secretary* must keep improving the Service's ability to manage, protect, interpret, and research those resources using the best available methods.
Recognizing the ever increasing societal pressures being placed upon America’s unique natural and cultural resources contained in the System*, the Secretary* shall continually improve the ability of the Service* to provide state-of-the-art management, protection, and interpretation of, and research on, the resources of the System.
