This section defines "State." It includes the fifty states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. It also includes the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.
This section defines "State" for this division. It includes two groups. (1) It means any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. (2) It also means the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
In this division, the term “State” means—
a State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands; and
the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
