To administer this chapter, the Secretary may contract or cooperate with specified agencies and organizations, hire experts and consultants under title 5, and accept and use funds for salvage archeology from private parties or Federal agencies.
In administering this chapter, the Secretary* may (1) contract or make cooperative agreements with any Federal or State* agency, educational or scientific organization, institution, corporation, association, or qualified individual; (2) obtain experts’ and consultants’ services, including organizations of experts and consultants, under section 3109 of title 5; and (3) accept and use private-person or corporate funds made available for salvage archeology or transferred to the Secretary by a Federal agency.
In the administration of this chapter, the Secretary* may—
enter into contracts or make cooperative agreements with any Federal or State* agency, educational or scientific organization, or institution, corporation, association, or qualified individual;
obtain the services of experts and consultants or organizations of experts and consultants in accordance with section 3109 of title 5; and
accept and utilize funds made available for salvage archeological purposes by any private person or corporation or transferred to the Secretary by any Federal agency.
