6 U.S.C. § 124e — Training for employees of intelligence components

The Secretary of Homeland Security must train employees who work in the Department's intelligence units. This training covers laws, rules, and programs related to collecting, handling, and sharing information. That information includes homeland security information, terrorism information, weapons of mass destruction information, and national intelligence.
The Secretary* must provide training and guidance to employees, officials, and senior executives of the Department's intelligence units. The goal is to help them develop knowledge of the laws, regulations, operations, policies, procedures, and programs related to a specific part of the Department's work: collecting, processing, analyzing, and sharing information within the scope of the information sharing environment. That covered information includes homeland* security information, terrorism information, and weapons of mass destruction information, as well as "national intelligence" — a term defined in section 3003(5) of title 50.
The Secretary* shall provide training and guidance for employees, officials, and senior executives of the intelligence components of the Department* to develop knowledge of laws, regulations, operations, policies, procedures, and programs that are related to the functions* of the Department relating to the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of information within the scope of the information sharing environment, including homeland* security information, terrorism information, and weapons of mass destruction information, or national intelligence (as defined in section 3003(5) of title 50).
