6 U.S.C. § 427 — Review and report by Comptroller General

(a) Requirements. By March 31, 2004, the Comptroller General had to: (1) finish reviewing how well procurements of property and services followed this part of the law; and (2) send a report on the review's results to the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and the House Committee on Government Reform. (b) Content of report. The report had to include: (1) the Comptroller General's assessment of how much the property and services purchased under this subchapter helped build federal employees' capacity, at each executive agency, to carry out that agency's mission, and how much those employees were trained on using technology; and (2) any recommendations the Comptroller General had based on that assessment. (c) Consultation. While preparing for the review, the Comptroller General had to consult with the same two congressional committees about which specific issues and topics to review — including how much to cover areas like technology integration, employee training, and human capital management, and what data the study would need.
