The Agriculture Department may provide employees with food and other subsistence without charging it against their pay. This is allowed when an emergency connected with their work justifies it and under the Secretary’s regulations.
The Department of Agriculture may provide subsistence to employees without treating it as compensation or deducting its value from their compensation when an emergency connected with their work warrants it. The Secretary of Agriculture may prescribe the governing regulations.
The Department of Agriculture is authorized to furnish subsistence to employees without consideration as, or deduction from, the compensation of such employees where warranted by emergency condition connected with the work under such regulations as the Secretary of Agriculture may prescribe.
