The Secretary of Agriculture leads all federal coordination of food and agricultural science research. This includes both research and extension programs across agencies.
The Secretary of Agriculture is the top executive branch official in charge of coordinating all federal research and extension work related to food and agricultural sciences.
The Secretary of Agriculture shall be the principal official in the executive branch responsible for coordinating all Federal research and extension activities related to food and agricultural sciences.
