10 U.S.C. § 122 — Official registers
submitted 68 years ago by Pub. L. 85-861 to r/title-10-ARMED-FORCES · 59 words · no verdicts yet
A military department's Secretary may publish official registers listing regular and reserve officers under their command, including other relevant details about them. The Secretary decides how often to publish and may add other lists too.
This section lets the Secretary of a military department publish official registers of officers.
The Secretary may have these registers published once a year, or at other times the Secretary chooses. A register can list the names of regular and reserve officers of the armed forces* under that Secretary's authority, along with other relevant information about them, as the Secretary sees fit to include. The Secretary also has discretion to include any other list in the register that the Secretary considers appropriate.
The section is not divided into lettered subsections — it is one short grant of discretionary authority to the Secretary.
The Secretary of a military department may have published, annually or at such other times as he may designate, official registers containing the names of, and other pertinent information about, such regular and reserve officers of the armed forces* under his jurisdiction as he considers appropriate. The register may also contain any other list that the Secretary considers appropriate.
