10 U.S.C. § 122 — Official registers

This section lets the Secretary of a military department publish official registers of officers. The Secretary may have these registers published once a year, or at other times the Secretary chooses. A register can list the names of regular and reserve officers of the armed forces under that Secretary's authority, along with other relevant information about them, as the Secretary sees fit to include. The Secretary also has discretion to include any other list in the register that the Secretary considers appropriate. The section is not divided into lettered subsections — it is one short grant of discretionary authority to the Secretary.
