The Navy Secretary can accept gifts for enlisted sailors and Marines. The gifts must fund recreation, entertainment, and general welfare. These gifts go into the 'Ships' Stores Profits, Navy' fund.
The Secretary of the Navy may accept gifts on behalf of enlisted members of the naval service. These gifts must be used to provide recreation, amusement, and contentment for enlisted sailors and Marines — activities meant to boost their well-being and morale. Any gifts accepted under this section are credited to a specific fund called "Ships' Stores Profits, Navy." That fund then holds and manages the money for these purposes.
The Secretary of the Navy may accept gifts for use in providing recreation, amusement, and contentment for enlisted members of the naval service. The fund “Ships’ Stores Profits, Navy” shall be credited with these gifts.
